Jacob STRIEBY (Jacob, Hans Michael) was born on 28 JUL 1787 and was christened on 9 SEP 1787 in First Reformed Church. He died on 13 DEC 1858 in Lycoming Co, Pennsylvania and was buried in Williamsport Cemetery C, Washington Blvd., Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Jacob's godparents were Michael Muller and wife Christina (First Reformed Church Records, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, p. 142). Jacob Strieby, son of Jacob and Christina (Strickerin) Strieby, married Sarah Kaiser, daughter of Michael and Catherine (Vollmer) Kaiser. Mr. Kaiser was a tanner at or near Easton. (Graveyards of Old Northampton, p. 114) The will of Catherine Kaiser, dated May 4, 1829, Upper Mtount Bethel Twp, probated Mar. 22, 1842 is registered in Will Bk. 6, p. 133 and states that Catherine was the widow of Michael Kaiser. The children mentioned were: Elizabeth, wife of Henry Mill, Sarah, wife of Jacob Strieby, Margaret, wife of Francis Staples, Frederick, George, Michael, Jacob, and John. Grandchildren mentioned are David Cole, eldest child of Mary Kaiser, deceased wife of Jacob Cole, and Catherine, child of deceased daughter Susan. Jacob and Sarah (Kaiser) Strieby were married in Northampton Co, Pennsylvania where all of there children were born. Mr. Strieby was a farmer and cooper. They are both buried in Williamsport Cemetery C, Washington Blvd., Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Jacob married Sarah KAISER, daughter of Michael KAISER and Catherine VOLLMER, in 1807. Sarah was born on 31 AUG 1786 in Bucks Co, Pennsylvania. She died on 4 DEC 1859 in Lycoming Co, Pennsylvania and was buried in Williamsport Cemetery C, Washington Blvd., Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

Mr. and Mrs. Follmer reared a niece, Clementine Strieby, wife of William Sprague, a lumber dealer. They also reared Oliver Patier, a relative of Mrs. Follmer. He located in Cairo, Illinois after serving in the Rebellion. Mr. and Mrs. Follmer were Lutherans. They had no children.
			Ann married Adam FOLLMER, son of William FOLLMER and Catherine, on 10 NOV 1842. Adam was born on 19 MAY 1820 in Loyalsock Twp, Lycoming Co, Pennsylvania.
